That Space Cadet Glow |
I'm a 23 year old anglophile from New York. I wish I lived in London. |
Only took about two months to finally remember to finish this painting.
Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock, 9x12 watercolor. Linked to my deviantart page.
Finished another Ray watercolor!
It’s pretty good, but I really do suck at hands and clothes. I liked playing around with the colors on this one.
Stopping here tonight.
Another Ray Davies watercolor, 9” x 12”.
I can’t wait to get a new scanner. Taking pictures isn’t cutting it. I assure you it looks better in person.
Although the sweatervest sucks balls. I just can’t paint knit clothing and I can’t bother to care that much.
Current work in progress. More Ray. Obsessed? Excited? Me? Never…
Sadly had to take this with my camera rather than my scanner but I think it shows fairly well anyway.
Ray Davies, watercolor, 9” x 12”. I figured that since I did young Ray that I should do old Ray too. Plus the concert next week put me in the mood to paint Ray in his current physique.
I’m pretty satisfied with the way this came out. Considering that I did the sketch in 20 minutes starting at 10:30pm and finished around 1:30am… Yeah, I like that.
Look at this handsome SOB I’m painting for the second time.
Current project*
*For some reason Tumblr is rotating my picture. It’s supposed to be landscape view, but Tumblr keeps making it portrait view for some reason.
Roger Waters, finished watercolor, 9” x 12”.
Credit to Kristina (little-arabella) for the idea for the “pink” color scheme, and Saul (teclosheng) for the idea for the wall background! Thanks :)
He’s such a pretty stallion.
Putting the pink in Pink Floyd.
One hour speed painting. Drew the picture between 4:20pm & 4:30pm, painted from then until 5:30pm.
Pete Townshend, watercolor, 9” x 12”.
I BET YOU CAN’T GUESS WHAT INSPIRED THE COLOR SCHEME.
Graham Nash, finished watercolor, 9” x 12”.
I had to brighten it up in Photoshop, I think my scanner might be slowly dying :(. The scan colors aren’t as saturated as they should be.
Anyway, I did this one pretty quickly. I wanted to mess around with earthy colors because that’s what my mind seems to associate with CSN when I listen to them. The hair could have been better, but I think it’s pretty decent.
OMG JEN IT’S PERFECT *____* You are such talent!!! I really love his features…amazing job…really amazing!!!!!!!
Thank you so much, Marina <3333

Graham update.
Moonrise Kingdom is Wes Anderson’s best film since The Royal Tenenbaums. I loved it. It reminded me of Charlie Brown in all the right ways....
